We will miss Kettering!

Sad day. Sad, sad day. Our family has loved Kettering Elementary School. Wayne/Westland school district is closing Kettering because enrollment is down in the district. June 17th ...last day of school... last day of Kettering. We will miss you!

Chandler is 12!

Chandler and Ethan went to Zap Zone on Chandler's birthday. They kicked some butt in lazer tag! Then we went out for Chandler's favorite food...pizza! (Actually, his favorite food is Ketchup, but he even puts that on his second favorite food, pizza!)
He was most excited to turn 12 so that he wouldn't be in Primary at church anymore! :)
We love having Chandler in our family. He is a positive, intelligent kid. He has a charasmatic personality and will make a great politician one day! He is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He is very personable. Chandler is a great leader.

Jacob is 10!

We love Jake! He is always making us laugh! Jacob has a great, DRY sense of humor! He is very quick witted.
Jacob is such a loving kid. Every little kid loves Jake. He is always so good to babies and toddlers and can even make them laugh easily! We are so lucky to have Jake in our family!

Michigan History

Since the curriculum in 4th grade includes Michigan history, we got to go on a field trip to Greenfield Village...one of my most favorite places!

Let me introduce.... General Stonewall Jackson

Welcome to Kettering School's 4th grade living museum. Where all 4th graders select a historical figure. They research this person, make a poster, including things like portraits, time lines of their life and a written essay about them. Then the student writes a short biography and comes in costume to present the person they choose. What a fabulous educational experience.
