On a Saturday, the 1st of May, a day filled with 4 soccer games, 2 swimming lessons and 7 kids to take care of, Brooklyn took a flying leap off of the swing in our backyard! She jumped up as soon as she fell and told Jacob to get Dad because she knew she broke her arm. Our neighbor witnessed the fall and told her that she would be crying and it would really hurt if she broke her arm! As soon as she saw her Dad, the tears came. I walked in the door 5 minutes later and she was still crying. Brooklyn is not a 'cryer', so I KNEW she must have broken her arm. I didn't even look at it. I had Aaron load her up in my car and away we went to the ER. It wasn't until they got her to radiology and had her turn her arm for one of the pictures that I REALLY knew her arm was broken! So, they splinted it and we went to see a friend of ours who is an orthaepedic surgeon, on the following Monday. At first they weren't sure if she needed surgery, so she wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything that day. After it was determined that it did not need "set" in surgery, we busted out the candy I had in my purse for her to eat! Then Dr. Jamieson was the first person to sign her pretty pink cast. She had her cast on for 6 weeks. She complained once or twice about her arm being itchy, but that's about it. She even got to be pretty good at writing with her left hand! She was a trooper.
Twins. Same due date (May 24th). Born 8 hours apart on the SAME day (May 14th). 
We drove an extra 150 miles on our 2000 mile trip from Michigan to Arizona to see these people...worth every mile!! :)
I'm already crying, or maybe that is still crying. We moved 6 weeks ago now, I'm just a little late in posting, but I'm still crying over leaving! I had the hardest time leaving behind these two. I've always been very excited to move out west. I look at it as an adventure! I'm excited for Aaron's new opportunities at work. But, I've always been sad to leave these two. I am so lucky to have such a great relationship with my sister-in-laws. These two are more than "in-laws", they are real sisters, real friends. They have done so much for me. The relationships they have with my kids are indescribable. Tamara is the one who babysat for me while I worked. Senta is the one I traded babysitting with for 10 years! My kids feel so comfortable with these women. I can totally be myself with them and know that they will not judge me. I know that if I ever need anything, these two will have my back. I REALLY miss them!
Our last night in Michigan...goes out in a BANG! Fireworks at Tamara's house. :) The cousins always have a good time!
not only are both his cousins in Cub scouts with him but his scout leaders are his Mom and his Aunt Tamara! ;)
My girl is 6! Where does time go? I remember the day she was born, it was one of the most stressful and happiest days in my life! I love this little lady!
