Aaron's promotion

Aaron got a promotion!
It is hard to believe it has been a year since Varsity Gold declared bankruptcy. What a year it has been! After the bankruptcy and law suit for Aaron to be "freed" from his contract he went out on his own. He still had the same groups he worked with and basically sold the same fundraising products. Then in June, Entertainment, Inc. started talking to Aaron about starting a high school fundraising division with them. Aaron started with Entertainment in July 2009 and Entertainment EXTREME was started. The Extreme division has grown so rapidly in the past 6 months. Aaron has been a part of hiring and training new reps while at the same time running his own groups in the Detroit area. Since the division has grown so much, they have recently divided the USA into 2 parts and Aaron will be the new Regional Vice President -highschool fundraising over the Western US. We are very excited!

Mexico

Aaron and I just got home from a week long vacation in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. We met my parents and two brothers, Bryan and Jeremy there. We stayed in a gorgeous, all-inclusive resort. It was a great week!

Have I lived in Detroit too long?

Ok, is this a problem? Do most boys build snowmen laying down with "bullet holes" in them, or have I lived in Detroit too long??? It reminds me of the time an ambulance drove by us, and Jacob, then 5 years old, said, "someone must have been shot"!! Is this a problem?

Viva Las Vegas

Girls weekend in Vegas! I am a very blessed woman. First of all, I have wonderful in-laws and sister-in-laws who so willingly help out with my kids anytime I ask. I also have the best husband in the world who totally supports my girls-get-aways every year! And I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends. Kim and Traci lived in Michigan until 4 years ago, when they both moved in the same month and rocked my world. Ever since then we have had a girls weekend. This year we went to Vegas...
We saw the Blue Man Group show, sitting in the "Splash Zone"! We gambled a little, ate out a lot, relaxed, talked, sat in the hot tub, talked some more and just did whatever we felt like. It was a great weekend away.

A great way to start the New Year...

This angelic 5 1/2 year old decided to make us all breakfast in bed! We each got our own cookie sheet complete with a bowl of Cheerios and ice cold water to drink. Mine had "skinny" milk in the cereal. I call it skim milk but for some reason Brooklyn calls it "skinny milk"!!

Happy New Year!!

I just have a good feeling about 2010! We got the year started off right. Senta and Daniel were kind enough to open their home to us wild animals last night! We rang in the new year with a chocolate fountain... (whenever chocolate is involved you just know it is going to be good!), we played games .... board games and Wii games, and we opened our traditional "crackers" ...complete with crowns, jokes and a toy!
