Jacob's Field Trip to the Orchard

Jacob's class went on field trip to Plymouth Orchard. First they learned all about the orchard and how the apples grow. Then they got to go on a hay ride. The ride stopped in the orchard, where they got off and were able to pick apples from the trees.
The next stop was in the pumpkin patch, where they all got to pick a pumpkin.
They finished the field trip with apple cider and doughnuts. What a fun day!

Making Pancakes

Brooklyn's favorite breakfast food is pancakes. Every morning that is what she asks for! On Fridays Lucas comes over to play in the morning, so we decided to make pancakes...from scratch! The kids had a great time! They did a great job too. I flipped the pancakes but that was it. They really enjoyed eating them too.

What do we do all day???

Some of you may wonder, what do I do all day?!?! Well, this post is to show you how much fun Brooklyn and I have when the boys are off to work and school! First of all, this picture shows a HUGE Target bag..that is a good hint! :) My little lady LOVES to shop. After we got home from Target on this particular day, the HUGE Target bag entertained us for about 45 minutes. We started off playing "babies". I am really good at changing diapers and Brooklyn is really good at taking all of the clothes off every baby doll she owns. Somehow we ended up play shopping and then we were "dressing up" with the bag.
I was taking pictures of Brooklyn and Lucas playing with the Lincoln Log village we had just made. They thought it was more fun to pose for pictures and then run to the camera to see them displayed before they disappeared from the screen on the camera. I laughed so hard watching them come up with poses and then racing each other to see the picture!

I think you have figured out by now, it really doesn't take much to entertain us all day long! A few stickers....
Playing dress-up....the picture right after this one was of Brooklyn dressing up Max! He is a good sport. He is a great playmate for Brooklyn.

BLITZ

When Aaron got home from his business trip, he was wearing a shirt with 'BLITZ' written on the front. Chandler looks at him and says, "Dad, if your shirt said 'BILTZ' the letters would be in alphabetical order. Aaron and I couldn't help but laugh....who thinks like that?!?!?! I've heard that children get their "smarts" from their Mother...I'm afraid to say, I am not sure where he came from!

Trip to ARIZONA

I am so lucky to have friends in GREAT places! From September 20-25th Brooklyn and I went to Phoenix, AZ to spend the looong weekend with my wonderful friend Traci and her family. She has 2 boys that my boys miss terribly, and 2 little girls that Brooklyn had so much fun playing with. Fortunately Traci's oldest is very responsible and a great babysitter. Also, her husband was great to have all of the kids ALL day Saturday so Traci and I could go to Time Out for Women and out for dinner afterward. (As a side note....2500 women in attendance at TOFW and guess who won the door prize?!?!? Traci said she had a good feeling about one of us winning and I guess she was right! I got a $50 Deseret Book gift card...which was spent long before I flew home!) We ate out so much, shopped, swam in the backyard pool, ate out some more, shopped some more, ate out some more :) and just had the best time. I miss my friend. She used to live 2 blocks away from me. At least she lives in a great place to visit.

Her Cocker Spaniel had just had puppies, so the girls had a great time holding and cuddling them. They were so cute.

Aaron had a business trip that overlapped with my vacation so my Mother and Father-in-law were kind to watch the boys for us the last few days I was gone. Chandler and Jacob sure had fun!

Brooklyn's 1st day of PRESchool

Brooklyn and her cousin Lucas going to Preschool on the first day! We have a picture of Chandler and Zoey (Lucas' big sister) on their first day in the exact same spot....I should post that sometime for a laugh!
ANYWAY, Brooklyn was SO excited. She went in no problem and did not care when I left. When I got back to pick her up, 2 hours later, all of the other kids were running and shouting "Mommy", "Daddy", and there is my daughter over in the corner with the toys with her head hanging down. I walked over to her and asked her what was the matter. She replied, "I don't want to leave yet". I wanted to tell her to just FAKE being excited to see me, like all the kids were excited to see their parents. But then I thought I would rather it be this way. ...even if it means my BABY is growing up....she is becoming so independant!
